Studio

A Little Corner of my World…..
My tiny studio sits to the side of our house. It’s a transformed shed that Jeff built many years ago. Right now, it actually is within our fenced goat pasture. I share this lot with our one and only goat that is left, Sidney. She is the sweetest thing, 10 years old, and we enjoy each others company. She and her sister were actually born in this shed ! ( Back before we fixed it up ) .

The studio is only 10’’ x 12’’. Enough room for me to store all of my goodies that I love to work with involving my paper art, collages, assemblages, etc. I don’t do my sewing here. Sewing and stitching is done in the house.

I feel so blessed every day that I can wake up and ask myself, What shall I make today ?

This is actually a fair weather studio. I don’t work here in the winter. We could add heat, but, I prefer to stay in the house in the cold months and focus on my sewing projects. It all works out just fine.

Meet Sidney, our pygmy girl goat. One of her horns got broken several years ago. A result of sparring way too rough with her sister. Sadly, her Mom, Dad and sister have passed away We used to have a pot bellied pig too. He was a good buddy to all .

Jeff and I have decided that we no longer wish to raise anymore animals, so that’s the reason she is all we have. The pasture is right next to our house. We take good care of her and make sure she doesn’t ever feel lonely. She’s got lots of squirrel, bird and bunny friends that visit .

Old drawers and boxes make the best storage for all the little things one must keep up with.

We used to use our Fine Farmhouse sign at shows that we used to do. No more shows for me, I’m happy to have it hanging here now !

Use simple shipping boxes for storage. Just make them look like old ones !

The studio area really needs a lot of help on the outside. We’ll get to it when we have the time. But, I thought I’d go ahead and show you anyway. Nothing is ever perfect looking in our little corner of the world, but, we are perfectly happy !

I”m so glad you visited ! Thank you for stopping by !
