MEDIUM ROUND …. 9 ¼ ’’ wide X 5’’ tall
Inspired by early American wallpaper bandboxes of the late 18th century, I create these boxes in my own way - using mostly paper mache boxes that I can find. Many of the papers that I use ,are designed by me - borrowing elements from those early paper designs, then recreated in the colors and size that best suits the project at hand. Some of the papers are reproductions of 18th century papers. I then age and distress each piece and line the insides with old book pages
Although the papers I use are not wallpaper, but, a thinner paper, these boxes have a special feel and time-worn appearance. Beautiful AND practical !
